Here's the aforementioned diagram of the human energy octave represented as a wavefront, based off an unfolded golden spiral confirming to fibbonaci's sequence (for aesthetic reasons only, I kind of doubt the harmonic ratio between the layers is really 011235813). Click on the picture for a larger and labeled version of the diagram. I picture it as a single wave spinning around itself, like if you took a conch shell and spun it on its tip like a top, so that the 3rd 5th and 7th centers extend out from the central axis to form the qabalah map. The center axis is the main tree and the left and right sides the body and mind trees respectively. And I couldn't keep myself from spicing up the drawing with a fractal series of golden spirals. If I had a really large sheet of graph paper this could show how multiple waves become connected (in the blank space above the quantum layer and extending out in each direction). Like always though, my ability to put these concepts into visual form falls far short of how I perceive them internally. But hasn't that always been the curse of the artist? Feedback greatly appreciated.

Here's my interpretation of this diagram, although my interpretation may be inaccurate.
The interaction makes it's way from 1-physical to 2-emotive. As the interaction may (or may not) continue to 3-directive and 4-social, a sympathetic wave continues from 2-emotive to 1-physical. This sympathetic wave somehow carries data from 2-emotive, which directs the new reflection of 1-physical. Two reflections are created here, one spiraling smaller, the other reflecting back up to 2-emotive. The sympathetic wave of 2-1-2 is the same size as the original wave created by 2-3-4-3-2, and therefore the data each represents has some sort of parallel to each other. Similarly, the multiple reflections that create the smallest loop of the sympathetic reflection (the one between the original pathway of 1-2) has parallels between the 6-7-8 loop.

and that's just going on the permutations that I did trace out. I imagine that the wave spirals out at any given oppurtunity and creates great vortices of feedback and refraction between all the layers at once, which sometimes has the illusion of the linear progression we think of as consciousness.
True - I was using the linear progression as a tool for dissection/analysis.
But, I also think that a time-binding focus of the progression could also make this manifest in consciousness in an ordered fashion - even though all waves would exist simultaneously.
i'm going to run with this a bit... let me know of any areas that i'm taking too much liberty.
lets say a structure like this exists as part of ourselves and extends from us into an unknown psychic dimension. let’s also assume that it's a fractal/crystal, so you can zoom in at any level to find the same structure perpetuating and reflecting... apparent borders become less clearly defined upon closer examination. As you mentioned Janus, “the wave spirals out at any given opportunity and creates great vortices of feedback and refraction between all the layers at once”. any aspect of the person can be analyzed or made to fit within the framework -- from the abstract to the specific, situations/details/ideas... this is the data. everyone's dataset is specific and unique, yet follows the same organizational pattern. the data can be broken down to 1's or 0's... polarities. (i'm not sure if i want to use the word "polarity" here, but a polarity is a polarity, even when it's not a polarity... so i guess it doesn't matter.)
when a person interacts with another person, these psychic structures collide to create disturbance patterns.
these disturbance patterns are waves of synergistic momentum created by corresponding polarities within/between 'person a' and 'person b'. these are present in the very first contact (and before). cars in traffic, people on the bus, any sort of contact a person may have in which they interact based on the knowledge that another person is "there".
this synergistic momentum can be positive, negative, or neutral... depending on the specifics of the data. the positive/negative/neutral momentum is present even in the most benign of interactions... propelling us to react to one another in certain ways. therefore the synergistic momentum can be utilized. given enough overall momentum, interaction between people can create or be classified as a full-blown virtuous or vicious cycle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtuous_cycle).
have you ever been walking down the street with someone walking toward you in the same pathway? and as you start to go left, they start to go right, blocking your notion to get around them... and you blocking theirs. you sense this, and start to veer in the opposite direction, only to find them doing the same thing. this interaction represents, on some level, the tone of your interactions should you meet and become very close to that person. your psychic structures are interacting, creating the feedback that will be present in all of you interactions from then on.
or, maybe the example of a person that 'rubs you the wrong way'. it's just a feeling, so you can quite articulate why the person bothers you, but they just do. as well, the contrary example of meeting someone that you 'click with' and things seem to fall in place with supernatural ease.
i'm not trying to communicate that if someone bothers you, that's it - give up... or the opposite. i feel the possibility to achieve any sort of synergistic momentum is present in every interaction/communication. the barriers that prevent motion from one style of synergistic momentum to another are imposed by the corresponding focus of the personalities involved.

wow, I think you hit the nail pretty square on the head there. Especially the example of running into a person on the street and both moving in the same manner in response to each other. I imagine that this feedback is certainly not just an internal thing and exists throughout most of the "structure" of existence. Our personal inter(actions) and feedback structures are a subset of that deeper structure, and because of that when we interact with other people (or objects or ideas) the structures connect and the feedback loops through both entities.
Personally I like to suspect that this interconnected feedback is present in everything at once, which could account for such strange occurances as telepathy between two people on opposite sides of the world, or the simultaneous occurence of breakthrough ideas in multiple people at once.
As you put it "the barriers that prevent motion from one style of synergistic momentum to another are imposed by the corresponding focus of the personalities involved", it is our attention which brings this deeper structure of connectivity to the surface and allows us to make use of the synergy, whether positively or negatively.
As far as polarity is concerned, or duality, it seems somewhat unavoidable if we want to talk about anything or analyze data as seperate pieces of information. Otherwise you end up with the unnamable tao, which as they is unnamable. 1s and 0s, yang and yin, these are the bits that dreams are made of.
